How Can One Complain?
By Manoj J Lekhi

Lying on the water
With my face towards the sky
I felt the waves kissing my body
I felt the coolness of the river
Now how can one complain?

See the starry nights
See the sunflowers bloom
Hear the flying robin sing
See the peacock blue
How can one complain?

The quietness of the night
The stillness of everything
Now how can one complain?

The sound of the frogs
The chirping of the birds
The squeaks of the squirrels
The music of the nature
How can one complain?

‘Complaint’ is the result
Of a person who
Is disconnected with nature
Is unfulfilled within
Is disturbed within
Is out of tune with life
Is out of tune with God
