Most people complain and get disturbed for various reasons. Whether it’s too hot or too cold, if the helper, maid, team member, or colleague doesn’t come to work or if the bus, train, plane, is not on time, they get disturbed and then they complain. Some people are fussy and always complain – ‘I don’t like these vegetables’ or I don’t like curries’ or ‘This food is not nice’.
This list can go on and on. There is no end. We find faults or complain about how things are not going the way we want. We limit ourselves, we feel constrained, we restrict ourselves, we feel constricted and thus we limit our enjoyment.
We are the only people who feel this is not right and that is not right. Because of this, we go through a lot of emotional turbulence especially the negative ones. The reason is, we have not mastered the art of enjoying whatever is in front of us.
